Amy Dugar blasts family for showing any support for Josh, cousin deserves

Amy Dugar never backed down.

Not when it comes to her cousin.

Not in any form, not in any form, not in any form.

Jim Bob Duger’s niece, who has been estranged from his famous loved ones for years, and his cousin Josh Dugar have spoken at numerous events since his arrest last year on child sexual abuse charges.

At one point, for example, Amy referred to Josh as an evil monster.

This is an argument against a difficult classification … Considering Josh was convicted in December of downloading sexual graphic photos and videos of children under the age of 12.

The father of seven has been in custody at an Arkansas detention center ever since – and he was sentenced May 25 by a federal judge.

Before this date and before this decision of the federal judge, Amy has now let her voice be heard again.

“I really need to protect my mind and my heart from hearing / reading such disgusting material.

“If you are interested in graphic details to protect your mind and heart, please remind me to be careful.

“You’ll never be the same.”

According to at least one agent who raided Josh’s workplace in 2019 and Josh saw some of the material stored on his computer, the discovery was among the worst footage he had ever seen.

In particular, the agent showed respect in a video depicting the rape of an 18-month-old baby.

Josh Duggar downloaded it and Josh Duggar watched it.

A jury of former reality star’s counterparts unanimously determined the amount in December after a week-long trial.

As part of her Instagram story on Friday, Amy continued:

“I will continue to shine a light in the darkest areas. Please just pray that Josh Dugar is given the final punishment. 20 plus years.”

In a similar vein, the prosecution in Duggar’s case on Wednesday asked a judge to sentence Duggar to more than a decade in prison.

In contrast, Josh’s defense has asked the same judge to sentence him to only five years.

To help them sue, these attorneys included notes from Anna Dugar and Michelle Dugar, both of whom supported their convicted husband / son.

“Joshua sees the best in people and is willing to walk by their side to help make their dreams come true,” read Anne’s letter as an example. “I ask that you consider reuniting us as a family soon.”

In a statement to People magazine, Amy expressed complete disgust at the feeling.

“I don’t think anyone would be wrong to assume that I support my cousin,” he told the publication. “I’m also struggling to find the words to express how angry I am.”

“I am angry at my cousin. As a person I am deeply disappointed with him,” he continued.

“But I want to tell you that the family saw it differently and even today, I refuse to hold her accountable.”

Back when Josh molested his own sisters as teenagers, Jim Bob and Michelle did nothing to help their child – or punish him for such abusive behavior.

“I took a lot of deliberate effort to protect my mind and heart and yet, it crushed me,” Amy added to the people.

“But you know what, we’re not supposed to be right in the light of any of that. And I’m giving myself the grace to feel all the anger, sadness, and frustration going through me.”

“I am grateful for my husband’s support and my mother’s gentle reminder that this is not for us to carry alone.

“I am humbled by the love you show us. Thank you for being here with me, through everything.”

On Twitter a day earlier, meanwhile, Amy said she understood why some people might see Josh in a positive light.

“First of all, Josh is funny, charismatic, kind and all the things listed in my aunt’s letter,” wrote Amy.

“But there’s an evil side. There’s an aspect of it that crawls on your skin. You can’t ignore what he did a few years ago, and what he saw! Are these confusing?”

Amy thinks her relatives are refusing and it makes her sick.

“Abusers are not all shadowy men hiding in the alleys.

“They’re among your friends, classmates, coworkers, family, and so on,” Amy said.

“They are friendly, well-liked, charismatic, and even charming, which makes it more important to act accordingly on the outside.”

Josh Dugar was arrested in April 2021 for two pedophiles.
