Bob Segate honored by Kelly Rizzo in a birthday tribute

On January 9, favorite comedian Bob Segate died alone in his hotel room.
The whole world mourned his death, but no more intensely than his closest friends and family.
His widow, Kelly Rizzo, paid tribute to him on May 17 for his birthday.
Such milestone moments after the death of a loved one may surprise you. Kelly is turning it into something beautiful.

“Happy Birthday is my love,” Kelly Rizzo began captioning her Instagram tribute post, along with multiple throwback photos.
“These photos and videos were taken exactly 1 year ago in Mexico,” he said.
“We always celebrated our birthdays together on a trip,” Kelly explained. “(His 17th and my 19th).”

“This last trip was very special,” Kelly wrote. “We both celebrated each other so much.”
He continued: “You never know when something ‘going to end’ is going to happen.”
“But,” Kelly revealed, “I am so grateful that she gave me all the love she deserved.”

Kelly writes, “I pray he can see the love he is already receiving from all over the world.”
“Honey, everyone loves you,” she said, addressing her late husband.
“Everyone wants to know how important and special you are to your special day,” Kelly assured, “and we all celebrate you.”

“You’re one of a kind and you must have made my world round,” Kelly said.
“I love you more than anything and miss you every minute,” she laments.
“Your daughters and I will hold each other tight today,” Kelly assured.

“And I know you want to get me a martini tonight, so I’ll be compelled,” Kelly concluded. “Happy Birthday Honey.”
These kind of anniversary events are tough, especially the first few after someone passes.
People find that after losing a loved one, they need to rethink their habits, their thoughts, and their whole life.

Bob Segate was alone in his hotel room when he died.
Both security video and data from his door confirmed that no one else had entered the room.
And since he drove to the hotel, it’s clear he didn’t suffer the injury anywhere else – he could have been unable to drive, or even think.

Given the extent of his head injuries, experts concluded that he had sustained a fatal wound in his hotel room, possibly slipping and falling.
Between its height and the marble floor, it is entirely possible that the physics of a slip – you accelerate faster than normal fall – are responsible for the damage to his skull.
It is believed he sustained the injury, probably in the bathroom, and then on his way to bed in a semi-conscious state, where he died.

Very few people have become fascinated and loved by many generations like Sedget.
Favored by fans, colleagues, friends and family, he enjoyed an extraordinary life and left a rare legacy.
Our hearts go out to Kelly – like our happy birthday, bitter sweet though it must be.
