Brad Pitt sues Angelina Jolie: she ruined my wine company!

For many, the recent Johnny Depp-Amber hard court battle is reminiscent of another high-profile legal battle that resembles a pair of A-list Axis (no pun intended) against each other.

When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie parted ways again in 2016, there were similar allegations of abuse and defamation, similar to the one we saw with Depp-Hard.

Of course, Pete and Jolie were able to handle things very calmly, probably because of the fact that they had six young children to protect them.

Now, the actors can go back to court after Pete filed a surprise lawsuit against his ex.

According to court documents obtained by People magazine, Pete Jolie is suing Chateau for selling his shares in the Miraval wine brand that the two bought during their wedding.

Pete alleges that Jolie “wanted to hurt” him by selling his stake in the company.

In a document filed Friday, Pete claims that Miraval has become part of his “passion” project, which through its efforts has become “a multimillion-dollar global business and one of the world’s most respected rose wine producers.”

He accused Jolie of contributing “nothing to Miraval’s success.”

Pete alleges that Jolie originally stole the company by selling its shares to Tenut del Mondo, who was “interested in taking control of Miraval” and “indirectly owned and controlled Russian billionaire Yuri Scheffler, who controls the Stolly Group.”

“Jolie kept Pitt in the dark, and knowingly violated Pitt’s contractual rights, secretly carried out the alleged sale and then completed it,” the lawsuit states.

Pete alleges that Jolie gave him the right to refuse first when he decided to sell his shares.

He claims that the agreement enabled Sheffler to obtain “confidential and proprietary information” for the benefit of his competitors.

In his filing, Pete accused Scheffler of “cutthroat business tactics and dubious professional associations.”

The actor’s lawyers claim that the deal “endangers the reputation of the brand Pete so carefully crafted.”

They allege that Angelin knew what she was doing at the time of the contract, and wrote:

“Jolie tries to force Pitt into partnering with a stranger, and worse, a stranger with toxic intercourse and motives.”

Brad is requesting a jury trial, and the situation is likely to be very chaotic, especially since Pete and Jolie have not yet been able to finalize their divorce.

Pitt calmed down in 2016 after parting ways with Jolie.

So his involvement with the wine company is even more amazing – after all, the guy doesn’t need the money.

Is there anything more going on here than a general disagreement involving a common dispute over what was once a joint venture?

Was Pitt inspired by Depp’s victory over Hard to take legal action against his ex?
