Chris Cornell’s widow honors rock icon on his death anniversary

Chris CornellHis wife pays tribute to the late legend five years after his tragic death.
On wednesday Vicky Colonel Shared a long heartfelt message Instagram Respect Soundgarden And Audioslave Frontman’s legacy, written:
“Five years from today, it will be the worst day of our lives. That would be the last time Chris would hug and kiss us, the last time he would come out our front door. The last time he said goodbye to us from the car. The last time we want to see him. 5 years ago tonight, Chris will be on stage for the last time. It was his last show, his final performance – but nobody knew it then. “
As you probably know, Chris died of apparent suicide on May 18, 2017. His death shocked loved ones and fans alike – not to mention his wife, who continued his post:
“I’ve seen quotes like ‘You never know when the end will come’ and it’s very true. There was an end to everything in our lifetime – but at the moment, you never know when it will be the last – until you look back. “
He ended his message by telling his fans to “explode your favorite Colonel’s song and blow your love into the air”.

In a separate post, the mother shared a heartbreaking video of her husband, writing in the caption that he misses her more than he talks. He thought:
“It’s 4 o’clock in the morning and the day I lost you, we lost you, the world lost you – I’m awake thinking about that day – it’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years. I can’t help but reflect on the 14 years we’ve spent together. “It was really magical and like a fairy tale – it’s almost too good to be true. I felt like a really lucky living woman to be on the verge of receiving your unconditional, eternal love.”
Vicky told Chris how “proud” she would be of their children, Tony And ChristopherText:
“You’re going to be so proud of our kids – Tony is 17 and following in your footsteps. You taught him well and just like his father- there is a way with his words and he is wise beyond his years. I see you in her every day. Christopher has just turned 16 and just like you তিনি he’s a perfect gentleman. He walks like you, sits like you, and you have humor and intelligence. She takes care of Tony and me just like you did. You are guided by example and boy what does he imitate.
