Ellen Pompeo, a fellow Gray’s Anatomy star, teaches fans at Row vs. Wade PSA:

For millions of Americans, the human rights rollback could be just a few weeks away.
Earlier this month, a draft landmark lawsuit leaked from the U.S. Supreme Court announced an impending decision to overturn Rowe v. Wade.
There are millions of Americans in states where strict laws will take effect immediately when such a verdict is given.
Everyone is doing what they can to help – in some cases, this means arming people with life-saving information.

Shonda Rhymes shared a video starring the stars Gray’s physiology.
The PSA features Ellen Pompeope, Chandra Wilson, Kevin McKid, Kim Rever, Kelly McCurry, Katrina Scorson and Kate Burton.
The video is concise and convincing, and seeks to arm Americans who may lose some of their basic human rights – depending on the state in which they live.

In some cases, the knowledge that people need is as basic as sex aid – something that very few people get enough of.
“Knowledge is power. It’s time for you to know,” explained Ellen Pompeo.
“Remember, you can get pregnant the first time you have sex,” she notes. “If you don’t consent, you can get pregnant.”

“Start birth control now,” Chandra advises viewers
“Any form is reliable,” Ellen added.
The video and links to the Shonda Rhymes point people to the Bedsider Birth Control Support Network, which aims to help young women between the ages of 18 and 29 gain access to birth control.

Pregnancy tests are widely available for sale, but if you do not have full human rights access, simply knowing that they are available at a nearby store is not enough.
Regardless of birth control, the video calls for a pregnancy test every four to five weeks – no matter how careful you are.
“Every four to five weeks may seem like a lot, but time is of the essence with the law,” Chandra warns.

“If you know you’re pregnant and don’t want to be, you have very little time,” Kevin warns.
“It’s a terrible time and everyone is scared,” he admits.
Ellen yelled: “But the options keep a woman strong. You’re strong.”

Its stars Gray’s physiology Far from using their platforms just to raise alerts and spread helpful information.
From talk show hosts to models to singers to actors to activists to journalists, everyone is talking.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the U.S. Supreme Court and the reluctance of other branches of government, what can be done to correct this looming horror?

Well, PSA is a start – arming people with preventive information, including tips on how to avoid the upcoming hyper-strict laws.
It is important to remember that not everyone has the time or resources to travel outside the state.
In some states, including the “Trigger Act,” which will take effect after SCOTUS clears a 50-year human rights record, returning home after an abortion can still have criminal or civil consequences.

Information can only take people this far, and only on a personal basis.
What is important is the power – to empower leaders in sufficient numbers and in the right positions, who will have the strength of character to fight as hard as political opponents for human rights.
But every little bit helps, and if even one person watches this video and uses this essential advice to access the resources that keep their lives off the line, it’s worth it.
