Ivanka Trump: Yes, my father lied. He never thought the election was being stolen.

The much awaited January 8 committee hearing ended last night.
And the drama that unfolded directly in front of millions of Americans must have survived the primetime hype.
The hearings were conducted by each major network – of course, for Fox News, which opted for a special commercial-free version of Tucker Carlson’s Uninterrupted Ramblings.
The testimony of Capitol Police Officer Caroline Edwards is getting the most coverage today, and rightly so.

Edwards shared a depressing account of falling unconscious and suffering multiple injuries during the attack on the Capitol building.
He also offered new information about his fellow officer Brian Sicknick, who threw pepper-spray and tear-gas during the riots and later died of his injuries.
Edwards took the position to give an idea of the January 6 mayhem.

But similarly shocking testimony clips that were run during the Republican Liz Cheney’s initial argument.
The goal here was to establish that Trump knew his claims of widespread electoral fraud were fake, but he continued to turn his base into a frenzy regardless.
Trump’s goal, Cheney simply said, is to “stay president” by any means.

In defiance of Trump’s claims that there was every reason to believe the election was rigged, the committee presented conflicting comments from former MAGA loyalists:
Former Diehard admits that there is no evidence of fraud, including Trump’s vice president Mike Pence, his attorney general Bill Barr … and even his eldest daughter Ivanka.
(Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like Tiffany Trump aint for me either, Looks like BT aint for me either.

Asked how he reacted when Barr said he found no evidence of forgery, Ivanka admitted:
“It has affected my outlook. I respect Attorney General Barr so I agree with what he says.”
Ivanka’s testimony was recorded during an eight-hour meeting with the committee in April.

His statement was not made public until last night, and it really made us wish that Donnie would still be on Twitter, as he had something to watch all night long.
The committee is expected to present additional evidence from Ivanka during the remaining five nights of the hearing.
Nine times on Trump’s sh-tlist, who has bluntly stated that there is no truth in the president’s allegations of electoral fraud:

“I have made it clear that I do not agree with the idea of rigging the election and getting these things out,” Barr said.
The committee also presented overwhelming evidence of how much Trump collaborated with Proud Boys and Oath Keepers with right-wing extremist groups to overthrow the election.
Trump’s well-known clip to “stand by” the proud boys was linked to videos and social media posts by members of the group’s leadership and swearing-in, confirming that they accepted the president’s remarks as a call for action.
We will have more updates on this evolving story as more information becomes available.
