Jason Dugar: My brother spit in God’s face, but I love him!

Jason Dugar probably can’t defend what his brother did.

But family is family, isn’t it?

The message was originally sent by Dugar on Thursday afternoon, a day after his sibling, Josh, was sentenced in December to more than 12 years in prison for child sexual abuse.

Josh will soon report to a Texas federal pension.

“In my opinion, Judge Timothy L. Brooks was justified in his decision to give Josh a sentence that would be considered from the middle to the bottom for the crime he committed,” Jason wrote in a lengthy statement shared on his Instagram story.

Dugar’s response to the regime continued:

“My heart goes out to my brother for the choices he has made, his actions do not reflect that of a Christian and have undoubtedly insulted the name of my Lord and Savior !!

“Joshua’s bad decisions have greatly affected the people around him, especially his wife, seven children and our family as a whole.”

Josh, of course, was found guilty of downloading sexually explicit material to children under the age of 12.

According to the prosecution in his case, Josh downloaded hundreds of photos and videos, which Judge Brooks labeled as “the sickest of the sick” during his sentencing on May 25.

As mentioned, Jason admits that his brother committed a serious crime.

But he can’t just turn his back on family members.

“By saying this, I will never stop loving my brother, no matter what he does, just as my Savior forgave me so I forgave my brother his wrongdoing!” Jason concludes.

“My prayer is that God will use this situation to make him truly humble and make a real difference in his life!”

Jason is the second Dugar sibling so far to issue a statement in response to Josh’s sentencing.

Also on Thursday, Jill Dugar and her husband posted the message on their official blog:

“The last few weeks and months have been emotionally difficult.

“Yesterday was another of those difficult days.

“The Bible clearly states that God receives justice and retribution through ruling authority.”

Jill and Derrick continue:

“While some believe that Josh should have received a greater punishment and fewer people believe that he should have received a lighter punishment, God has avenged him today for his unspeakable criminal activity.”

Jill added that she is glad that her brother has been “held accountable” for his heinous deeds and hopes that he will definitely get the necessary professional help.

“It’s unfortunate, but it looks like he could spend more than a decade in federal prison, and with some more experiments, there is no chance of Josh being rehabilitated so that he can safely return to society,” the post continues.

“Hopefully, Josh can actually start treatment and start working towards a lifestyle where he’s less likely to re-offend.”

The couple concluded:

“If nothing else, the notoriety of this case has hopefully contributed to the prevention of potential offenders and will help reduce the need for child protection. [Child Sexual Abuse Material]”

Dillards concludes their post by saying that they are “going to love Josh and his family”, where they offer to stay there to support them in any way they can.

Elsewhere, Amy Dugar said her cousin should be locked up for more than 12 years.

In addition to his imprisonment and fine, the judge also ruled that Josh would not be allowed to visit his children without supervision.

The judge told the court yesterday, “You have done something very bad. But overall in your life, you have done well.”

“The real test of human character is what a man does when no one is watching.”
