Josh Dugar has a “sexual tendency towards pre-pubescent girls,” the prosecution said

One week before Josh Dugar was convicted of felony criminal mischief, his prosecution filed a motion in the Western District of Arkansas federal court in Fayetteville.

These lawyers did so in response to Duger’s defense team issuing its own sentencing memorandum on May 11.

The convicted sex offender’s attorney wrote in the memo that their client was only eligible for five years in prison.

In response, prosecutors are now trying to shoot his opponents’ arguments – pointing to ridiculous points.

For example:

Earlier this month, Defense Josh objected to the material downloaded from his work computer labeling it “sadistic” or “massocystic”, apparently trying to belittle the photos and videos found on the device.

On May 18, however, the government filed a lawsuit stating that “Dugar had downloaded multiple videos that were illustrated” and continued with a clear description of certain files … some containing “suspiciously abusive abuse” of young girls.

“Dugar makes no attempt to fight this evidence or regulatory precedent,” Motion notes. “And his objection should be dismissed on record before the court.”

As previously reported, a video shown during Dugar’s trial showed an 18-month-old girl being raped.

The defense, meanwhile, maintained that Dugar had downloaded 127 images, while the prosecution said on multiple occasions that the total was over 600.

Elsewhere, Josh’s lawyers objected to Dugar’s past use against him, citing “incredible reports from a tabloid magazine” claiming that Dugar had sexually abused children as teenagers.

The thing is … in 2015, Dugar confessed to molesting children, including his own sister.

Ironically (and, let’s face it, Disappointingly), Prosecutors wrote in their rebuttal that these incidents were “confirmed by the self-serving testimony of his own father.”

In fact, Jim Bob Duger testified at his son’s trial and was forced to discuss at the time how he had helped cover up Dugar’s heinous crimes before that time.

Speaking of Josh’s family members … Defense later brought in letters from Michelle Dugar and Anna Dugar alleging that Josh was a “dedicated family man” and a man of “faith”.

These letters argue that Josh deserves a humble sentence.

The prosecution, however, strongly opposes this classification of sexual abusers.

Its official response even addresses the fact that Dugar himself mentioned that he “grew up in front of a television camera” and thinks that his crimes are related to the “challenges of being a child whose daily life is seen by the public and, in some cases, the media and Being criticized by complete strangers. “

Translation?

Josh tries to blame his pedophilia for the struggles that one might face in the spotlight.

Josh Dugar is the worst

And the prosecution did not have it, responding with a paragraph that deserves to be highlighted on its own:

These claims only underscore the appropriateness of the government’s recommendation of punishment.

In fact, his supportive family and public outreach and privileged lifestyle make his criminal behavior even more astonishing.

Despite gaining some level of fame through reality television as an adult, he is best known for his sexual misconduct and criminal sexual behavior outside of his family programs at this time.

Back in the day Josh Dugar

More importantly, none of these letters are meaningfully linked to his crime or his sexual orientation towards prepubstant girls.

At least one suggests that the ‘enemies’ are targeting him threatened by his ‘quiet display of conservative values’ and at the same time advancing his improbable theory that ‘an unscrupulous young man’ has created him.

Many others describe his conviction in general as an unfortunate incident – something that happened to him despite his best efforts to avoid it.

That’s exactly the problem.

Josh Dugar is a bad dad

Without some acknowledgment of his guilt from Duggar and the need to address his apparent and enduring sexual interest in children, it is unlikely that he would see his conviction as anything other than evidence that he would have to be more careful and confidential. The next time he was involved in child sexual abuse.

Simply put, this final paragraph argues that Josh will try and commit more sexual offenses whenever he is released from prison.

The government cited research that shows how sex offenders are “four times more likely to repeat their crimes than other violent offenders”.

The filing ended with the defense asking the court to dismiss the objection.

It again recommended a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

We will find out the amount of punishment for Josh Dugar on May 25.
