June Shannon saves 16-year-old Alana from dating 20-year-old Darlene Carswell: She

Alana lost custody in June years ago, but she is still his mother.

And he seems to be speaking out in support of Alana’s relationship and rebuking those who are concerned.

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has been dating Darlene Carroll since the beginning of last year.

She was fifteen when the relationship began, turning 16 last August.

The report states that her family seems to like Darlene and the relationship … and that apparently includes Mama June.

June Shannon talks to TooFab about many things, including Alner’s love life.

“Yes, I met Darlene. They’ve been together for over a year,” June confirmed.

He added: “People need to understand that she will be 17 in August.”

“And,” continued June, “that [Alana’s older sister] Pumpkin and Josh were the same age. “

Well … Lorraine also got pregnant when she was 17 years old. Is this really a great comparison?

But June speculates that some of the reactions are related to Darlene’s younger age and more to her race.

“He’s getting a lot of hatred because he’s in an international relationship,” June complained

“She’s big,” he admits, “but at the end of the day, Alana isn’t the 6-7 year old kid you fell in love with 11 years ago.”

June reminded everyone: “Alana has grown up, she’s graduating from high school next year, friends!”

It is entirely possible that racism is playing a role.

Racism and white supremacy are rotten in many aspects of our society and culture.

There is nothing surprising or shocking to hear that this stupid evil has an effect on how people can see Alana’s relationship.

Anyway … the age gap is significant, no matter what June thinks.

The age gap between four (or five) years is negligible if both parties are adults. When one is a minor, it is completely different.

Legal in some states, illegal in others.

Why doesn’t Jun think this is a big deal?

For one thing, because, as he noted, Lorraine – who seems to be doing well these days – was in the same boat as a minor himself.

Until June, it just seems normal … though it’s extreme Unusual And barely legal.

June’s own background is also something to consider, and despite the obvious signs of her upbringing, it is often forgotten.

June was in her thirties when Lorraine gave her a grandchild, but she was already a grandmother – through Anna’s children.

Anyone who spends most of his life on a roadkill to feed himself and his family has lived a life so different from most of us that he could be on another planet.

20-year-olds are at different stages of their lives than adolescents.

This does not mean that Darlene is a hunter, or that she made it a habit to date high school students.

But the rest of us deserve more than to say that it is strange for a high school student to date an adult – one who is not a former classmate who has just graduated, however.

Is Alana in danger? This seems unlikely because of the evaluations given by all his relatives.

But the inherent imbalance of life experience and some more is not a cause for concern.

Decades ago, no one looked away, but in 2022, June’s lack of concern left her in the minority.
