Ryan Dorsey Post a series of her sweet pictures Instagram Celebrate Tuesday JosieKindergarten graduates! That’s great! In the photos it all seems to be laughter and excitement as the 6 year old is looking forward to his next big adventure: 1st grade!

Ryan, like us, seems to be in disbelief that his son is already leaving kindergarten in the mirror behind him:

“I can’t believe it, but it’s already Out of kindergarten !!!!

My baby boy is really a big boy now and on his way to 1st grade ?! ”

Seriously, where does time go?

This moment must be especially pleasing for Ryan. The 38-year-old has been trying to make it work as a single father for the past two years in the wake of Nair’s tragic death. There may be ups and downs, but one thing that has been cleared up a lot is that she has a lot of love for her little boy. As he wrote in the post:

“osejoseydorsey I love you so much and you make me proud to be your dad!”

Dorsey seems ready for what will come next, he added:

“Upstairs and next to my little man !! “

Although Naya and Ryan did not finish the job as a couple, they always gave priority to their son. The couple married in 2014 and welcomed their child a year later. Almost 3 years later, the couple finalized their divorce in 2018, deciding to leave the relationship. However, the Hollywood stars did not let it get in the way of their co-parents, and we know Naya Ryan would have stayed by her side. For the graduation of little Josie.

Sadly, the actress died in 2020, drowning within a day in Lake Peru with Josie. The tragedy was later settled in an unjust death case that would have compensated Josie for witnessing her mother’s untimely death tragedy. There is nothing that can really compensate him.

While it was a rough couple of years for everyone involved, Ryan and Josie were able to find comfort in being at least close to Nair: his sister, Nikila Rivera. As you may have read, Nair moved in with Nikila Ryan to help raise Josie soon after her death. Although Ryan called it a “temporary situation”, we learned in January that Nikila was still helping. So much devotion in this family.

Although everyone must have missed Naya like crazy, life is still going on. While discussing Josie in a July 2021 memoir, Ryan had to tell Naya directly:

“She’s such an elastic kid. She misses you but she knows she’ll see you again.”

How can something break at the same time warm our hearts ?!
