When Kim Kardashian hosts Live Saturday night In October 2021, Pete Davidson probably had no idea that that week of rehearsal would change the course of the rest of his life.
Kim hosted the second episode of What Will Become Pitt’s Final Season on the show that made her famous.
And these two facts, you are probably aware, are not related.
Kim and Pete started dating after seeing each other on the show, and life has never been the same for either of them.
What at first seemed to be a fling quickly developed into a serious relationship.
Pete began appearing more or less on SNL, and in the second half of the season he made only one appearance – and that was in a pre-taped sketch showing only one other cast member.
Now, People Magazine reports that Davidson has officially left the show.
It is unlikely that he will be on hand for a proper farewell during tomorrow night’s season finale.
Critics of Davidson have complained that he had an arrogant ego because of his relationship with Kim.
But a more probable explanation for Davidson’s sudden departure is the result of the relationship – especially the intense scrutiny from Kanye West.
Yes, although Kim finalized his divorce from Kanye before he began a relationship with Pete, Kanye reacted to the relationship as if he were having an affair with his wife.
Kanye chases after Kim and harasses Pitt in such a way that even her close friends start begging her to stop, if only for her children.
At one point, West made a music video in which he decapitated Davidson, like a Clemson.
With Kanye making frequent threats on social media and publicly imagining Pitt’s murder, it was not safe for Davidson to attend the Rockefeller Center, and so, he kept his distance.
Ironically, threats and intimidation have been heard, as Pitt and Kim seem to be using this time to get closer.
And it’s not that Pitt’s other project isn’t coming.
During this week’s NBCUniversal Upfront, Davidson revealed that he will be starring in a new Peacock sitcom Bupkis.
“I can’t believe we’re in Peacock, the streamer that’s responsible for so many great shows like ‘McGruber’ and ‘The Office,'” he told the media.
“I’m here so the media will finally start paying attention to me,” Davidson joked.
“So look for our new show streaming on ‘Cock’.”
Of course, Sitcom probably didn’t have enough reason to leave Pitt’s SNL.
Multiple cast members have starred in other series, leaving their mark on the sketch show, most recently Kenan Thompson, who is currently starring in a well-known sitcom on the same network.
In the past, Pete has suggested that he consider leaving the show because he feels unworthy.
I personally think I should do that with the show, because they make fun of me for it, “Davidson explained in a 2020 interview with Charlemagne Tha God.
“I understand, but I, like the cold-open, political punchlines. I’m like the ‘Weekend Update’ jokes. Mouth. ‘ And you’re like, ‘Whose side are you on?’
“I have a weird feeling in that building where I don’t know whose team they’re playing for, really,” he admitted. “If I’m joking or I’m joking.”
Davidson has not yet confirmed he is leaving the show, but insiders say his decision is final.
We wish him all the best in his future endeavors!
