For the past few years, the rapper has been outspoken about the fact that his mother was not a part of his life and that he was only 9 years old. But that seems to have changed since he shared an important post on Thursday Instagram! Uploading a picture of her and her mother sitting side by side, the musician announced:

“Identity … my mother.”

And just for the record, the bright smiles on their faces made it seem like this reunion was a happy reunion!

If you didn’t know, the actor (born Colson Baker) Was born to missionary parents in Houston, but his mother left his family when he was very young, apparently for someone else. She and her father then moved to Denver to live with an aunt. In 2019, he opened up about the heartbreaking situation in his song Burning memoriesSaying:

“Yeah, that’s for the mom I never knew; I set aside all my memories of you. “
