This Is Us Recap: The Big Three Say Goodbye To Rebecca
Since its launch in 2016, this has been moving towards a use resolution.
The last episode of the series on Tuesday was the most emotional as the Rebecca (Mandy Moore) kids said goodbye to her.
On top of the dazzling installment, Rebecca’s fall began when her nurse gave her lotion in her hand.
No response was received.
However, Rebecca’s mind was still active, and we took a trip in the past to see many younger Rebecca.
The mother of the Pearson family was on a train, wearing a beautiful red dress.
As soon as a man approached, Rebecca announced that she was waiting for someone.
But who was this mysterious man to our heroine?
William (Ron Cephas)!
What a throwback, huh?
If you watch This Is Us online, you know William Randall (Sterling K. Brown) was a big part of the previous season of the series as a biological father.
Rebecca and William had a chat, and the former asked the latter to recite the poem that gave him an idea of Randall’s name.
The plot unfolds as William invites Rebecca to the beautiful train bar, but he remembers that he was waiting for someone.
Rebecca decides to start the journey at the bar, and the rest of the episode plunges into this train journey and some horrible developments for the rest of the family.
We learned that Rebecca’s blood pressure was dropping and that she was starting to slip.
“Things are happening fast now. I can’t see that she made it overnight, “announced nurse Laila.
Everyone in the house went to say goodbye to the woman who had made a huge difference in their lives.
“Thank you for helping me with the complex, incredible, handsome boy you raised. But I got him now,” Beth (Susan Kelechi-Watson) shared when Rebecca heard it on the train through the speaker.
When Beth appeared on the train, William said that the train was moving fast and they all had to go through.
Dr. Katowski made drinks for everyone while on the train.
We told you this episode differently, you guys!
The only member of the Big Three who was not with Rebecca was Kate (Chrissy Metz), who was stuck in a tarmac in London.
For work, and although he did not want to go, his brothers claimed that their mother would not be impressed by such a great opportunity to avoid him.
Back on the train, Dr. Katowski told Rebecca that she was in danger of dying the day the babies were born.
Rebecca Pearson, “The harder you come, the harder you are,” she shared.
“And you, my dear, have achieved a rest.”
When the train journey reached its final moment, Rebecca refused to move forward.
“I told you, I’m waiting for someone,” he said.
We later learned that Kate made it on time.
William opened a door that revealed a bed in it.
“It’s pretty sad, isn’t it? The end?” She is surprised.
“The way I see it, if something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been great when it happened,” he responded.
“The end is not sad, Rebecca. It’s just the beginning of the next incredibly beautiful thing. Your son made that time like that Doppie painting,” he added.
We’re back in bed at the present moment, and Randall tells his mother to “say ‘Hey’ to him,” clearly referring to their father.
He shook her hand.
We got back on the train for the last time while Rebecca was lying in bed. He turned and saw Jack lying beside him.
“Hey,” he said with a smile.
“Hey,” he replied.
